PewDiePie was allegedly promoted by the gunman of the New Zealand mosque attack earlier today which at this has time killed 49 people.
The Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern, has declared the tragedy a terrorist attack.
The shooting was live-streamed by the gunman, who says in the video, “Remember, lads, subscribe to PewDiePie.”
PewDiePie took to Twitter to share his thoughts on this, saying he was “absolutely sickened” having his name used in the shooting.
Just heard news of the devastating reports from New Zealand Christchurch.
I feel absolutely sickened having my name uttered by this person.
My heart and thoughts go out to the victims, families and everyone affected by this tragedy.

Numerous fans have promoted PewDiePie over the last several months, as they try to keep his status as the most-subscribed YouTuber. They have taken extreme measures such as hack printers or Google TV systems.
